Good Guys With Guns

The topic of this episode is "Good Guys With Guns".

Inspired by rising fears of violent crime in America, open borders, and lack of transparency surrounding safety—we invited three guests who have thought deeply about gun safety, policing, and how citizens can protect themselves from criminals and predators.

Sergeant Betsy Brantner Smith is a retired law enforcement officer with a 29-year career in the Chicago suburbs. She started as a police dispatcher at 17 before becoming an officer. Throughout her career, she took on various roles and has been a prominent advocate for female officers, having developed specialized training programs such as the Winning Mind for Women course. Now, Smith serves as the spokesperson for the National Police Association, where she plays a key role in advocating for law enforcement by informing the public about policing issues.
